Acme Bookbinding is a family owned business based in Charlestown, Massachusetts, a section of Boston on the north shore of the Charles River. Like our Charlestown neighbors the U.S. Constitution (Old Ironsides) and the Bunker Hill Monument, Acme Bookbinding shares a place in history. We trace our beginnings back to 1821, and the J. G. Roberts Company, making Acme Bookbinding, we believe, the oldest continuously operated book bindery in the world. Today Acme is directed by Paul Parisi (president), Bud Parisi (chairman of the board), John Parisi (manufacturing), Zeff Hanover (engineering), Ron Raye (edition binding), Pete Merrill-Oldham (marketing and sales).

Acme has grown from a one-person basement operation to a 150-employee company in a modern 100,000 square-foot facility with world class systems and machinery. Acme Bookbinding is a full service bindery, providing edition binding (case binding and perfect binding), library binding, textbook rebinding, legal binding, foil stamping, promotional document supplies and other book binding products. Our newest division, Imaging and Digital Printing, offers fascimile reproduction of out-of-print books and digital printing of On-Demand short run books. Through one of our divisions, Acme Bookbinding serves libraries, printers, publishers, lawyers, commercial realtors, and other businesses throughout the Country.
