Legal Binding
Bound According to National Standards Legal bibles are constructed according to Library Binding Institute Standards. The text block with tabs is oversewn (the strongest binding method). Then the spine is rounded and backed, and a strong cotton lining attached. The textblock is then glued into a binder's board/Group F buckram case that extends past the tabs on the front edge. The pricing includes stamping on the spine and thickness up to 3 inches. Gold panel lines, personal imprints, and front cover stamping are optional. Information Required It is very important that we receive complete information for each book that is bound. If several books have the exact same information regarding cover color, stamping, and spine lettering, you can provide one information sheet and tell us how many copies are needed. If there is any variance between one bound copy and another, then another information slip should accompany that volume. Stamping Information If you are having us stamp both the spine and front cover, we need to have stamping information for both of those surfaces. Accompanying this are two sample binding information sheets. The one that is only text would be appropriate for books that are not going to have gold panel lines stamped on the spine. Please note that the sample gives us an example of how the title is to be stamped. If your customers want to have panel lines on the spine, then you should supply us with something similar to the other one. If you have a customer that will always want panel lines on their books, you might want to draw a spine with the panel lines only, make copies, and use those to input new titles.
